c58e0d771b dt-bindings: display: mediatek: control dpi pins mode to avoid leakage
[ Upstream commit b0ff9b590733079f7f9453e5976a9dd2630949e3 ]

Add property "pinctrl-names" to swap pin mode between gpio and dpi mode.
Set the dpi pins to gpio mode and output-low to avoid leakage current
when dpi disabled.

b078dd60e3 ANDROID: GKI: drivers: thermal: Add post suspend evaluate flag to thermal zone devicetree
Thermal core framework subscribes for suspend/resume notification.
On resume notification it re-evaluates each thermal zone for
temperature and cooling state update. For some devices,
a large number of thermal zones are enabled for different mitigations.
Re-evaluating each thermal zone during resume leads to multiple issues
including delay in back to back suspend resume scenario, power penalty
for frequent wake up due to re-setting trip threshold especially
during cold temperature usecases.

Add wake-capable-sensor property to thermal zone devicetree node to
denote that these sensors are wakeup capable. If a thermal zone has
this property defined, thermal framework ignores resume re-evaluation
and can service the threshold notification during the suspend/resume
path.

fbc835b0b4 dt-bindings: net: FMan erratum A050385
[ Upstream commit 26d5bb9e4c4b541c475751e015072eb2cbf70d15 ]

FMAN DMA read or writes under heavy traffic load may cause FMAN
internal resource leak; thus stopping further packet processing.

The FMAN internal queue can overflow when FMAN splits single
read or write transactions into multiple smaller transactions
such that more than 17 AXI transactions are in flight from FMAN
to interconnect. When the FMAN internal queue overflows, it can
stall further packet processing. The issue can occur with any one
of the following three conditions:

  1. FMAN AXI transaction crosses 4K address boundary (Errata
     A010022)
  2. FMAN DMA address for an AXI transaction is not 16 byte
aligned, i.e. the last 4 bits of an address are non-zero
  3. Scatter Gather (SG) frames have more than one SG buffer in
the SG list and any one of the buffers, except the last
buffer in the SG list has data size that is not a multiple
     of 16 bytes, i.e., other than 16, 32, 48, 64, etc.

With any one of the above three conditions present, there is
likelihood of stalled FMAN packet processing, especially under
stress with multiple ports injecting line-rate traffic.

To avoid situations that stall FMAN packet processing, all of the
above three conditions must be avoided; therefore, configure the
system with the following rules:

  1. Frame buffers must not span a 4KB address boundary, unless
the frame start address is 256 byte aligned
  2. All FMAN DMA start addresses (for example, BMAN buffer
     address, FD[address] + FD[offset]) are 16B aligned
  3. SG table and buffer addresses are 16B aligned and the size
of SG buffers are multiple of 16 bytes, except for the last
SG buffer that can be of any size.

Additional workaround notes:
- Address alignment of 64 bytes is recommended for maximally
efficient system bus transactions (although 16 byte alignment is
sufficient to avoid the stall condition)
- To support frame sizes that are larger than 4K bytes, there are
two options:
  1. Large single buffer frames that span a 4KB page boundary can
be converted into SG frames to avoid transaction splits at
     the 4KB boundary,
  2. Align the large single buffer to 256B address boundaries,
ensure that the frame address plus offset is 256B aligned.
- If software generated SG frames have buffers that are unaligned
and with random non-multiple of 16 byte lengths, before
transmitting such frames via FMAN, frames will need to be copied
into a new single buffer or multiple buffer SG frame that is
compliant with the three rules listed above.

82bda5d639 ANDROID: GKI: drivers: thermal: Indicate in DT the trips are for temperature falling
SoCs may need to handle the case where the temperature is below the
timing closure temperatures of the logic. At low temperature, the timing
closures may not be met. The compensative action at such temperatures is
to increase the voltage, by switching to a higher OPP.

Thermal governors need to understand that the temperatures are
descending in order to correctly estimate the mitigative actions.

8b314bb069 hwrng: omap3-rom - Fix missing clock by probing with device tree
[ Upstream commit 0c0ef9ea6f3f0d5979dc7b094b0a184c1a94716b ]

Commit 0ed266d7ae ("clk: ti: omap3: cleanup unnecessary clock aliases")
removed old omap3 clock framework aliases but caused omap3-rom-rng to
stop working with clock not found error.

Based on discussions on the mailing list it was requested by Tero Kristo
that it would be best to fix this issue by probing omap3-rom-rng using
device tree to provide a proper clk property. The other option would be
to add back the missing clock alias, but that does not help moving things
forward with removing old legacy platform_data.

Let's also add a proper device tree binding and keep it together with
the fix.

fa3302ef72 bus: ti-sysc: Add mcasp optional clocks flag
[ Upstream commit 2c63a833e4500b341a62bf97e67488909ae12086 ]

We have OPT_CLKS_NEEDED in legacy platform data, but it's missing
from the ti-sysc driver for device tree based configuration.

In order to pass OPT_CLKS_NEEDED quirk flag we need to update omap4 module
data and add a new compatible for dra7 as the module layout is different
from sysc_regbits_omap4_mcasp.

Fixes: 70a65240ef ("bus: ti-sysc: Add register bits for interconnect
target modules")

50d94ac1da can: hi311x: Use level-triggered interrupt
commit f164d0204b1156a7e0d8d1622c1a8d25752befec upstream.

If the hi3110 shares the SPI bus with another traffic-intensive device
and packets are received in high volume (by a separate machine sending
with "cangen -g 0 -i -x"), reception stops after a few minutes and the
counter in /proc/interrupts stops incrementing. Bus state is "active".
Bringing the interface down and back up reconvenes the reception. The
issue is not observed when the hi3110 is the sole device on the SPI bus.

Using a level-triggered interrupt makes the issue go away and lets the
hi3110 successfully receive 2 GByte over the course of 5 days while a
ks8851 Ethernet chip on the same SPI bus handles 6 GByte of traffic.

Unfortunately the hi3110 datasheet is mum on the trigger type. The pin
description on page 3 only specifies the polarity (active high):

The current cpsw usage for cpsw-phy-sel is undocumented but is used for

the cpsw device, it lives in the system control module instead.

Let's document the existing usage, and improve it a bit where we prefer
to use a phandle instead of a child device for it. That way we can
properly describe the hardware in dts files for things like genpd.

b326272010 ARM: SoC: late updates
A couple of late-merged changes that would be useful to get in this
 merge window:

  - Driver support for reset of audio complex on Meson platforms. The
audio driver went in this merge window, and these changes have been
in -next for a while (just not in our tree).

  - Power management fixes for IOMMU on Rockchip platforms, getting
closer to kexec working on them, including Chromebooks.

  - Another pass updating "arm, psci" -> "psci" for some properties that
have snuck in since last time it was done.

e9880240e4 arm64: dts: Fix various entry-method properties to reflect documentation
The idle-states binding documentation[1] mentions that the
'entry-method' property is required on 64-bit platforms and must be
set to "psci".

commit a13f18f59d ("Documentation: arm: Fix typo in the idle-states
bindings examples") attempted to fix this earlier but clearly more is
needed.

Fix the cpu-capacity.txt documentation that uses the incorrect value so
we don't get copy-paste errors like these. Clarify the language in
idle-states.txt by removing the reference to the psci bindings that
might be causing this confusion.

Finally, fix devicetrees of various boards to reflect current
documentation.
