I suspect that one file was simply missed at the patch. Yet, keeping
it broken is a very bad idea, so we should either remove the broken
patch or to remove just the invalid include. Let's take the latter
approach.
Due to that, a warning is now produced:
Error: no ID for constraint linkend: v4l2-subdev-edid.

Both V4L2 and V4L2 subdev interface have very similar selection APIs with
differences foremost related to in-memory and media bus formats. However,
the selection targets are the same for both. Most targets are and in the
future will likely continue to be more the same than with any differences.
Thus it makes sense to unify the documentation of the targets.

This patch adds definition of additional color effects:
- V4L2_COLORFX_AQUA,
- V4L2_COLORFX_ART_FREEZE,
- V4L2_COLORFX_SILHOUETTE,
- V4L2_COLORFX_SOLARIZATION,
- V4L2_COLORFX_ANTIQUE,
- V4L2_COLORFX_SET_CBCR.
The new V4L2_COLORFX_CBCR control is added to allow setting
the fixed Cb, Cr values that replace chroma Cb/Cr coefficients
in case of V4L2_COLORFX_SET_CBCR effect.

If V4L2_CAP_DEVICE_CAPS is set, then the new device_caps field is filled with
the capabilities of the opened device node.
The capabilities field traditionally contains the capabilities of the physical
device, being a superset of all capabilities available at the several device
nodes. E.g., if you open /dev/video0, then if it contains VBI caps then that means
that there is a corresponding vbi node as well. And the capabilities field of
both the video and vbi nodes should contain identical caps.
However, it would be very useful to also have a capabilities field that contains
just the caps for the currently open device, hence the new CAP bit and field.

This patch adds a documentation for VIDIOC_{G/S}_SELECTION ioctl. Moreover, the
patch adds the description of modeling of composing, cropping and scaling
features in V4L2. Finally, some examples are presented.

Add a new VOLATILE control flag that is set for volatile controls.
That way applications know whether the value of the control is volatile
(i.e. can change continuously) or not.
Until now this was an internal property, but it is useful to know in
userspace as well.
A typical use case is the gain value when autogain is on. In that case the
hardware will continuously adjust the gain based various environmental
factors.
This patch just adds and documents the flag, it's not yet used.

This patch addresses several issues pointed by Randy Dunlap
<rdunlap@xenotime.net> at changeset ece722c:
- In the generated index.html file, "media" is listed first, but it
should be listed in alphabetical order, not first.
- The generated files are (hidden) in .tmpmedia/
- The link from the top-level index.html file to "media" is to
media/index.html, but the file is actually in .tmpmedia/media/index.html
- Please build docs with and without using "O=builddir" and test that.
- Would it be possible for media to have its own Makefile instead of
merging into this one?
Due to the way cleandocs target works, I had to rename the media DocBook
to media_api, otherwise cleandocs would remove the /media directory.
