We thank Alexey Starikovskiy for his significant contributions
not only to the ACPI EC and battery code, but for his profound
positive impact on the ACPICA core itself.
Alexey is busy with new challenges now, and so we'll take his
name out of MAINTAINERS to reflect that the EC and battery
are once again maintained as part part of the general ACPI
sub-system without a dedicated sub-maintainer.

Nobody appears to be interested in fixing autofs3 bugs
any more and it uses the BKL, which is going away.

And I do not have any access to Matrox hardware anymore, and I'm quite

Some Apple machines have identical DMI data but different memory
configurations for the video. Given that, check that the address in our
table is actually within the range of a PCI BAR on a VGA device in the
machine.
This also fixes up the return value from set_system(), which has always
been wrong, but never resulted in bad behavior since there's only ever
been one matching entry in the dmi table.
The patch
1) stops people's machines from crashing when we get their display wrong,
which seems to be unfortunately inevitable,
2) allows us to support identical dmi data with differing video memory
configurations

NET: introduce the "gre" module for demultiplexing GRE packets on version criteria
(required to pptp and ip_gre may coexists)
NET: ip_gre: update to use the "gre" module
This patch introduces then pptp support to the linux kernel which
dramatically speeds up pptp vpn connections and decreases cpu usage in
comparison of existing user-space implementation
(poptop/pptpclient). There is accel-pptp project
(https://sourceforge.net/projects/accel-pptp/) to utilize this module,
it contains plugin for pppd to use pptp in client-mode and modified
pptpd (poptop) to build high-performance pptp NAS.
There was many changes from initial submitted patch, most important are:
1. using rcu instead of read-write locks
2. using static bitmap instead of dynamically allocated
3. using vmalloc for memory allocation instead of BITS_PER_LONG + __get_free_pages
4. fixed many coding style issues
