There is one race condition where mhi_prepare_channel is called
in which read pointer and write pointer is set to base address
and in parallel there could be an MHI M0 transaction which
checks any pending event rings on all channels (tre_ring)
with RP != WP and rings channel DB which causes Null pointer
access. Check for MHI channel is enabled before ringing channel
doorbell. Reset mhi channel chan_ctxt, tre_ring and buf_ring
wp and rp to NULL in mhi_deinit_chan_ctxt.

find_last_bit() relies on unsigned long pointer arguments. Driver
uses a type cast that generates the KASAN warning. Replace
find_last_bit() with __fls() to pass the value and avoid casting
pointer to make the warning go away.

send early notification to all MHI clients devices on PCIe
linkdown recovery when device supports RDDM dumps. so all
client channels registered to MHI will receive completion event.

In the cases of HW accelerated channels, there
is a possibility that the db_mode has changed while
a queue is in progress. This can happen when
mhi_queue_dma is scheduled out and an OOB event
is parsed.
Fix this by determining whether to ring the
doorbell or not without releasing the lock to
ensure persistence of db_mode.

The alloc_skb call set the mac_header to ~0 which
can cause the skb data to point to an invalid location.
Fix this by setting the mac_header to 0 before submitting
it.

Change RSC credit limit from 8 to 10 to ensure

Some released ACPI FW for Huawei boards describes incorrect the port IO
address range for child devices, in that it tells us the IO port max range
is 0x3fff for each child device, which is not correct. The address range
should be [e4:e8) or similar. With this incorrect upper range, the child
device IO port resources overlap.
As such, the kernel thinks that the LPC host serial device is a child of
the IPMI device:

This shows up as a real issue when we enable CONFIG_KASAN and

The issue here is that the kernel created an incorrect parent-child
resource dependency between two devices, and references the false parent
node when deleting the second child device, when it had been deleted
already.
Fix up the child device resources from FW to create proper IO port
resource relationships for broken FW.
With this, the IO port layout looks more healthy:

In case of a kernel panic, interrupts are not handled and hence,
any attempt to assert device wake and wait for an M0 state change
relying on interrupts will fail. In order to help solve this
issue for cases where the controller needs to assert device wake
in panic path, extend the mhi_device_get_sync_atomic() API and
allow it to poll the MHI STATUS register for an M0 state change.
Make the appropriate changes wherever the API is in use.

Reducing NAPI poll weight to 64 from 128 for debug builds.
The maximum frags previously it can accumlate for SKB is 128,
which leads to stack overflow. So, will reduce max frags to skb
to 64.

During a synchronous power-up, at times the device may not
transition to a desired bootup state and host has to wait for a
longer time to dump registers and figure out any problems that
may have occurred on the device. Allow for the controller to
receive a callback for timeouts seen while waiting for a READY
state or an SBL or AMSS execution environment entry so it can
evaluate any debug approach it wants.

An extra vote is held and not released during cases of multiple
or back to back time synchronization requests where the response
is still pending and the doorbell is not rung. As only one
response is expected, we can safely remove the latest vote
placed.

If the device enters RDDM when the host is in a fast/DRV suspended
state, MHI host may end up skipping the check from BHI interrupt
handling as a host resume may remain pending for a while. Once the
host resume is triggered by the controller, MHI host can either
walk the primary event ring to discover the RDDM EE event or check
the execution environment post the DRV resume and notify the
controller of the error condition as fallbacks to the original
method of using the BHI interrupt.

Allow a move to SYS_ERROR if its arrival precedes that of an
RDDM entry notification so that the core driver remains inactive
for that period in its anticipation.

If a controller supports RDDM, there is no need to process a SYS_ERROR.
Hence, we can safely move the power down state check to reside within an
RDDM supported controller as it allows for other controllers to handle
scenarios such as receiving an early SYS_ERROR when in the PBL execution
environment.

As of now, there is no way for MHI to know if device supports RDDM
and host controller wishes to skip ramdump collection. Allow for
that by letting the controller set the rddm support boolean which
indicates device side support. If rddm_size is set to zero while
the support for RDDM is present, that indicates disinterest in
ramdump collection if RDDM execution environment is entered.

To reduce the chances of a race where error conditions may end
up being missed, move MHI to an error detected state before
issuing the RDDM entry callback to the controller.

Increasing napi poll weight to 128 helps processing OOB
sooner. This reduces the napi schedule overhead if number
of outstanding events are higher and OOB event is posted
later in the pending list of events.

This reverts commit 279df8f09f.
Commit 279df8f09f ("mhi: core: add timesync logs after
resume completes") adds timesync register read which could
have latency of the order of ~msecs if device is in L1ss
sleep, causing the CPU to be stalled.

Boot-up and shutdown require faster scheduling of the PM state
worker. Use the high priority workqueue for processing any of
the PM state transitions to ensure faster boot-up or shutdown
handling on MHI host.

There is a possibility of client driver's dev_wake request
as part mhi_device_get() racing with M1 state transition
event processing. This can result in a scenario where client
finds MHI state as M0 after mhi_device_get() returns only to
be changed later as M1 event processing is still pending on
different CPU core.
It causes M0 -> M2 -> M0 state transition after mhi_device_get()
has already returned. This isn't expected by client and currently
treats that as fatal error. Also, as per MHI spec host must allow
M1 -> M2 transition for device and it shouldn't abort that.
However, clients can ignore that transition as device is expected
to immediately move from M2 to M0 without entering deep sleep
state. Hence, it must be safe to access their MMIO.
To simplify this logic, introduce mhi_device_get_sync_atomic()
function that can be used by clients to achieve the same and once
it returns success they don't need to have any explicit MHI state
checks.

This allows controller to keep the memory allocated for bhi
vector table for rddm and fbc images. Memory remains allocated
after controller powers down. Add a controller flag to make the
decision for memory allocation.

When an MHI client on the host requests a device resume/vote
using the mhi_device_get() API, host should also resume from
its own suspended state to allow efficient voting as MHI host
could be in DRV suspended state. Host must ensure that link
control is brought back to the application processor once a
vote is initiated.

For debug purposes, allow clients to issue SOC reset or read the entire
register dump when they wish to do so. They may not read proper values
or the reset may not take effect if the device is powered down.

Not all registers can be set while dumping debug registers depending
on the state of the device. For example, wake doorbell is not set
until a READY state of the device is reached. Hence, we could access
a NULL pointer while dumping debug registers. Avoid this by adding a
check to skip the addresses which are not yet set.
