This patch adds retrieval of firmware and FPGA versions of Genpix devices.
That information is useful for users who experience performance differences
with the various firmware versions, and may want to use a specific firmware
that best suits their needs.
Example dmesg output:
gp8psk: FW Version = 2.09.4 (0x20904) Build 2009/04/02
gp8psk: FPGA Version = 1

This patch updates the name of the dvb-usb-gp8psk driver
from "Genpix 8psk-to-USB2 DVB-S" to "Genpix DVB-S".
The old name doesn't reflect newer devices such as the
Skywalker line which also user this driver.

I have been informed by the manufacturer that the patch currently in the v4l tree to support the Genpix-CW3K version of the hardware will actually
damage the firmware on recent units. As he seems to not want this hardware supported in Linux, and I do not know how to detect the difference between
affected and not-affected units, I am requesting the immediate removal of support for this device. This patch removes a portion of the changeset
dce7e08ed2b1 applied 2007-08-18 relating to this specific device.
Adapted patch to not remove code, but to only to comment it out.

This patch converts the gp8psk module to use the S2API.
It pretends to be DVB-S2 capable in order to allow the various
supported modulations (8PSK, QPSK-Turbo, etc), and keep software
compatibility with the S2API patches for Mythtv and VDR.

The adapter_nr module options can be used to allocate static adapter
numbers on a driver level. It avoids problems with changing DVB apapter
numbers after warm/cold boot or device unplugging and repluging.
Each driver holds DVB_MAX_ADAPTER long array of the preferred order of
adapter numbers.
options dvb-usb-dib0700 adapter_nr=7,6,5,4,3,2,1,0 would result in a
reversed allocation of adapter numbers.
With adapter_nr=2,5 it tries first to get adapter number 2 and 5. If
both are already in use it will allocate the lowest free adapter number.

There are now 4 different versions of the GENPIX USB adapter. The
newest 'Skywalker' models are fully self-contained, and need no
additional hardware to be used. A very reliable DVB-S card even without
using any of the alternate modulatations (which this kernel module does
not currently support)
The following patch adds support for all 4 versions of the genpix
adapter (www.genpix-electronics.com).

This patch is the first commit of the Multiple Input Patch for the DVB-USB frame
work.
It changes the DVB-USB-device to be able to have more than one streaming input
(e.g. multiple DVB-T sources) on one device. This is a necessary feature for
the upcoming DiB7700 driven devices.

This is a patch which includes support for the GENPIX 8PSK->USB module. The
board supports QPSK, BPSK and 8PSK decoding (though I don't think it will be
DVB-S2 compliant) With the following patch, the boad is equivalent to a budget
card (no CA Module)
The patch which adds 8psk suppot will follow, but is seperate, as it requires
DVB-S2 support
More info on the board can be found at www.genpix-electronics.com (and they
host the requisite firmwares there as well)
